Kathy Carpenter, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician

Kathy Carpenter is a Certified Veterinary Technician who has been with Edinburgh since the beginning. Kathy works behind the scenes managing the hospital inventory and also works part-time performing technician duties. Kathy and her husband, Scott, have a Boxer, Allie, and a cat, old man Tugger, 18 years old. In her spare time she enjoys going for family walks, reading, and volunteering at her daughter’s school. 

Betsy Elvester, CVT

Certified Veterinary Technician

Betsy is our lead Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Ridgewater College in 2007 and really enjoys the surgery side of her technical duties. She finds working with owners and their new puppies as they grow up very rewarding as well as helping our sick patients recover and return with wagging tails. She has four dogs-Charlie-a Pointer/Boxer mix who is an amputee; Blitz-a Boxer; Chester-another Boxer and Koda-a Husky. All of them are very good snugglers and love racing around the yard. She enjoys reading, baking, cooking, gardening and going to the zoo with her daughter.

Kathleen Prouty

Practice Manager

Kathleen Prouty is our new practice manager. She comes with previous experience in clinic management in the veterinary field. She enjoys building and maintaining a dynamic care team and helping to provide our clients and their pets outstanding customer service and high quality veterinary care.  

Christina Yang

Veterinary Assistant

Christina is our veterinary assistant. She is attending North Hennepin Community College and is studying biology and zoology to prepare for a career in the veterinary profession. She has two dogs, KC and Tiny, and one cat named Akita. She enjoys a wide variety of activities including drawing, design, sewing, sports and interacting and playing with her pets.

Marissa Rennock

Veterinary Assistant

Marissa is our full-time veterinary assistant in training to becoming a certified veterinary technician while taking vet technician classes at an on-line school. She is enjoying learning about animal care behind the scenes. She has a cat, Tibet, who is leash trained; and a Beagle-Dachshund Mix named Hope she likes to take to the dog park. She likes hiking, playing with Hope and Tibet and also doing projects and crafts. 

Stephana Yang

Veterinary Assistant

Stephana is our newest veterinary assistant and Christina’s sister. She graduated from Prairie Seeds Academy this spring and likes science and math classes.  Stephana enjoys working with animals and learning about veterinary medicine. She likes teaching the family dogs (Tiny and Nola)  tricks and caring for them.  She also plays volleyball and enjoys reading, video games and listening to music.

Amanda Ayers

Veterinary Receptionist

Amanda is our new veterinary receptionist. She has many years of experience working in the human health field and has relocated from Duluth to work with us. She loves animals and her future goal is to become a certified veterinary technician. She will be attending a veterinary technician on-line school while working full-time as a receptionist.  

Keirsten Boettcher

Veterinary Technician

Keirsten is our newest full-time veterinary technician who graduated from Argosy University in September and finished her internship with EPHC in December of 2018.  She will be taking her certification test this summer. She was previously our veterinary assistant and we are delighted she will remain here in this new role. She has three cats-Ombre, Mocha, Junior and a dog, Kali. She enjoys reading, walking Kali and snuggling with her pets.
